Rancho Valencia – RANCHO SANTA FE, CA

It’s rare to find a hotel restaurant that offers truly delicious food. The historic restaurant at the Rancho Valencia Hotel in San Diego, California is a wonderful example of what a hotel’s restaurant should be. The property is nestled in the hills of the prestigious community of Rancho Santa Fe, highly regarded as one of the most picturesque tennis facilities in the country. The restaurant follows the same trend and offers a unique dinning experience. A blend of classic french design elements and California-cool creates a warm inviting atmosphere for diners. The chefs artfully prepare an array of contemporary California cuisine that showcases simplicity and fresh local produce. Their wine cellar boasts an impressive selection of over 500 different wines from around the world. If you are looking for a romantic place to take your significant other, look no further. Try the seared ahi tuna with roasted golden beats or the white almond gazpacho with king crab.

Atmosphere:

Warm & inviting

Design:

Classic design, geared towards an older, more distinguished crowd

Culinary Execution:

Fantastic food that elevates fresh ingredients to gourmet status

Value:

Heavy on the wallet, but it is hard to put a price on a superior experience

Service:

A classically trained wait-staff & bar-staff execute above average service

Overall G-Lodge Approval Rating:

Rancho Valencia’s restaurant scored well in most categories but fine dinning prices bring down the overall approval rating. The food is great so I recommend trying it out on your next special occasion.

Stay timeless gents
