The Hollywood Bowl has become a staple in the history of American concert production. The recent roster says a lot about the historical value of this beautiful amphitheater. John Mayer, Dave Matthew’s Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jack Johnson, and LCD Soundsystem are listed as upcoming shows, while The Bowl has been the host to legendary artists such as Sinatra, Pavarotti, Streisand, The Beatles, Mickey Rooney, Simon and Garfunkel, and Abbott and Costello. I have to give the award for the ultimate Bowl guest to F.D.R. who “performed” at The Bowl in the form of a public address in 1932.

As the home to the Los Angeles Philharminic since 1922, this piece of LAs history is going strong in 2010. In addition to upcoming superstar performances, The Hollywood Bowl frequently hosts other special events that can be found at: www.hollywoodbowl.com . Also check out The Bowl on…
